Easy crochet phone bag

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in your preferred color
• Crochet hook size H/8 (5.0 mm)
• Button for closure
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Instructions:

Bag:

1. Foundation Chain:Chain a multiple of 3 stitches until you reach the desired width for your phone bag. For example, you can start with a chain of 30.
2. Row 1:Double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook and in each chain across. Turn.
3. Row 2:Chain 3 (counts as the first double crochet), skip the next stitch, double crochet in the next two stitches, skip the next two stitches. Repeat from * to * across. Double crochet in the turning chain. Turn.

Flap:

1. Row 1:Attach yarn to the edge of the opening. Chain 1, single crochet evenly across the edge. Turn.
2. Row 2:Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch across. Turn.
3. Row 3:Chain 1, single crochet in the first stitch, chain 3, skip 3 stitches, single crochet in the next stitch. Turn.
4. Row 4:Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch and in each chain space across. Turn.
5. Row 5:Repeat Row 3.
6. Row 6:Repeat Row 4.
7. Buttonhole:Chain 1, single crochet in the first stitch, chain 3 (this creates the buttonhole), single crochet in the next stitch. Fasten off.

Finishing:

1. Attach a button on the front of the bag, aligning it with the buttonhole on the flap.
2. Weave in any loose ends.
